CRW updates wheels and unveils new handlebar
Joe Whittingham2025-06-11T08:32:49+00:00Over at the Shanghai bike show the CRW booth had a host of new and interesting products. As well as updating their mega-popular carbon spoked wheel range, they also unveiled a brand new handlebar.

The new wheels we’ve already done an in-depth deep dive. But the headline stats are that they managed to save 40g off each wheelset as well as widening the rear wheel’s width to better match the modern, wider front wheels.

But it was perhaps the handlebar that gave the most unexpected suprise. CRW rocked the wheel world when they launched their CS series two years ago, and now it looks like they’re set to do the same to the handlebar world. Their integrated cockpit has some very attractive numbers. Firstly the sizes are very modern and progressive. The smallest size being just 34cm wide at the hoods. The flare of the drops is also an interesting feature. With narrower positioning on the hoods, some riders feel they lose leverage for sprinting or just prefer a wider bar for descending on. The outward flare on the HB-01 allows for just that.

There is also a version of the bar especially for the Cérvelo S5. This bar drops around 100g from the stock S5 setup and has the same modern sizes as the regular version of the HB01. The S5 version should be coming to Panda Podium soon, so stay tuned!
