Purchased this frameset on July 22nd, and I had received it in around 8 working days to Ireland.
Tom from customer service was absolutely fantastic with getting me all the info and specs required, and the response time is much quicker than standard western brands.
The packaging of the bike was next to none, Velcro straps, bubble wrap and scratch film all over the bike parts to ensure safe shipment. Everything was perfect. There was no manual in the box (some people might want, some might not) but its always good to have a ref sheet for torque specs for a specific bike which it didn’t have although bolts have torque specs, it would be nice to have extra bits for all bolts.
The bike came with a direct mount hanger and a standard hanger, Garmin mount / wahoo mount, light mount front and rear. It even came with a thread together press fit bb which alone is worth 100+ euro online from western brand online dealers.
I would be fairly handy building a bike myself and this was a breeze to build, once you have a cable routing kit, you will have no problems building this up.
I am around 192cm, and my bike fit requires around a 56 frame with 110-120 mm stem. But I was worried when the seat post was smaller than I had expected. I got in touch with Tom and he re-assured me once the seat post was inside the from by 8cm or more it would be fine, as the seat post has decals stating minimum seat post insert. But I have had no issues at all with the bike.
Personally I was a bit worried forking out that much money on a non western brand, but I can honestly say I am beyond happy with my purchase, the bike rides exactly the same if not better than an sl7 – sl8 and for a fraction of the price.
The actual weight of the frame +/- might be slightly heavier than stated but its not the end of the world, mine built up with ultegra and some old lun hyper black edition built up to around 7.2kg so its actually lighter than an SL7 Pro, the bike would be under 7 with lighter wheels.
So in short the bike is fantastic, the customer service is better than western brands, and I am super happy with my purchase.
Thanks guys!

Best Price to Performance Bike Build – I was inspired to undertake this build using the Tavelo frameset after 1) my bike was stolen, and b) I saw Joe’s “Sub 6kg for sub$6k” YouTube video. The philosophy for the new bike was to build something bespoke to my needs, be less expensive than something off the rack, and that would perform on bar with a name-brand race bike. This was the build specification’s major components:
– Tavelo Arow (Race) XL/540 in Matt Black, with integrated bar and stem
– Shimano 105 DI2 R7170 group set
– Elite G45 45mm deep x 24 internal width x 31mm external width carbon wheels
– XCADEY S-Power crank and power meter
Weight: 7.6kg with bottle cages, computer mount, and pedals
Overall – the bike performs exceptionally well, and has fully met the design brief! I’ve done over 500km, with a mix of climbs, cafe rides, and a criterium race. It’s a shame I can’t put a photo in, as the bike looks very cool 😎.
Frame Pros:
– Good value for a high performance frame, with an integrated bar and stem
– Well packaged and protected for shipping, and fast 7-day delivery time
– Free bidons from Panda Podium!
– Excellent computer mount, with a variety adaptors (Garmin and Wahoo), with removable GoPro/light mounting adaptor
– Direct mount and standard rear derailleur hangers
– Token thread together BB86 bottom bracket bearing
Issues:
– Stack Height: they only give you 20mm of spacers for the steerer and if you want more stack, you will need a bigger frame.
– Brake Hose Liner: The bike does not come with foam liner for the rear brake hose to go through the frame, and it will bang around if you don’t supply your own.
– Steerer Tube Plug: Everything Peak Torque said about this is true, it was a pain to install and I hope I don’t have to remove it EVER!
– Handlebar Guides: Perhaps because I ordered the 36cm wide x 130mm long combination, that it was hard, but the brake hoses were very difficult to thread through and did not have guides
I had a professional bike builder do the assembly for me, so they had the tools and experience to make this happen despite the issues encountered. Unlike Jesse (Nero Show) and Peak Torque, there were no issues with the bottom bracket fitting.

This was my first time ordering from panda podium, so naturally was sceptical purchasing the Tavelo especially when it is a lot of money. But my experience has been amazing and nothing I can fault.
I ordered the Tavelo with standard shipping and took 6 weeks to get to the UK. Although when I emailed, panda podium were waiting for the handlebars to arrive before shipping out, once I got the tracking code and the confirmation that it had been shipped it took 2 weeks to arrive from then.
In terms of the frame, top notch. It came well packaged with the whole frame/forks/handlebars strapped down. The frames and its accessories came with no defects or marks at all and inside the frame was super clean making the cable routing so easy.
I noticed a lot of the critics which PeakTorque had made about the frame have clearly been taken onboard and they have made the necessary improvement. For example, the top cap and bolt for the headset are no longer connecting and one and are now a separate cap and bolt. There now comes included a rubber sleeve for the seat post to cover the clamp bolt, another point which PeakTorque had pointed out.
As for the tight bottom bracket issue reviewers have talked about, I can’t say too much about that. I choose in my build to use a Shimano plastic BB and not the one that comes in the box and installing that it was not too tight to fit in and installation was straight forward.
Loved all the accessories that came with the frame like the di2 battery seat post bung and the computer mount for the handlebars which come will all the mount types for any brand and comes with a GoPro attachment underneath as well.
Not to mention the free panda podium bottles that were in the box as well!
Another thing to note, for finding the length of the stem to choose, the stem length seems to measure from the centre of the steer to the BACK of the handlebar and isn’t centre to centre like on standard stems, so my 110mm stem was more like a 120mm measured centre to centre. Worth noting when trying to replicate your bike fit.
Finally for my full build weight with full Ultegra groupset and Zipp 303s wheels the weight came to 7.3kg.
