Advanced Aero Rim Profile
The ULTIMO wheelset features an aerodynamic rim profile designed around modern wide road tyres and contemporary aero framesets.
Available with 50mm or 60mm front rims paired to a 60mm rear, the profile has been developed to balance aerodynamic efficiency with predictable handling and crosswind stability in real-world riding conditions.
An improved spoke design and a low spoke count further enhance the crosswind stability and reduce aerodynamic drag at higher speeds.
Lightweight and Stiff Carbon Rim Construction
Built using high-grade carbon fiber and a new optimized layup, the ULTIMO rim minimizes weight without sacrificing the stiffness and strength required for high-performance riding.

Bespoke Carbon Spokes
The ULTIMO features an updated carbon fiber spoke designed to reduce rotational weight while improving responsiveness and ride feel.

The CRW Ultimo’s retain what the CRWs are known for – being a carbon spoked wheel that actually has good road feel. In a blind test you’d be hard to tell the difference between these wheels and the old wheels… the ~100g difference is noticeable when pulling away from a standing start, but stiffness during sprints and aero during high-speed TTs seems the same. The thinner spokes take away some visual appeal for me personally, but the crosswind stability does seem improved as a result. I never thought the regular CRWs were “bad” in cross winds… on very windy days it was noticeable, but never dangerous. Now, they’re even better though. The increased price is disappointing, but the switch to higher modulus carbon and titanium fixings for the spokes kind of makes sense. If you want the very best all-round wheel… I think this may be it.
