Stringing together Speed and Comfort
The World's Lightest Spoke
and thats not even the main feature.
At just 2.2g each, the GOOSYN Ti-Fi spokes are the lightest spokes in the world. But that's just the icing on the cake. The TiFi spokes were developed as part of a quest to string together comfort and speed. While traditional thinking was that stiff was fast, the recent trend to wider tires and lower pressures both in and out of the pro peloton has taught us that smooth is in fact fast.
Elasticty Vs. Vibrations

GOOSYNN’s patented TiFi spokes have 52% more elasticity than a steel spoke and 110% more than a carbon spoke. This allows the wheel rim to deform more independent of the hub leading to a more comfortable ride.
When measured with an on-bike 3D accelerometer, in back-to-back testing the TiFi spokes reduced vibrations by around 15% compared to steel spoked wheels. In the same testing, when compared to carbon spoked wheels, the total reduction in vibrations was around 29%.

What is Ti-Fi? It comes from Titanium and Fiber. Specifically 6Al-4V Titanium and aromatic polyamide fibers. These are the wonder materials that make the Ti-Fi experience possible. Titanium was chosen for it’s unbeatable strength to weight ratio that allows the tiny ends of the spokes to withstand hundreds of kilograms of force. A special Aramid fiber made from over 20,000 individual strands was chosen after extensive testing. Aramid fibers have roughy 5-6 times the strength of a steel cable of the same width, while weighing much, much less. Aramid fibers are usually the reserve of aerospace and military applications such as ballistic body armour or jet engine enclosures.

The GOOSYNN TI-Fi wheels are a super interesting wheel that rides unlike anything else I’ve ridden. The polymer spokes do an excellent job of absorbing vibrations and small imperfections in the road. It’s not like your bike suddenly floats over everything, but it’s a welcome bit of comfort for those seeking it. The wheels are also impressively lightweight. Thanks to the weight of the polymer spokes and super-light rims. They’re not a sprinter’s wheel… they’re a bit flexy. But if you’re after a comfortable wheelset that is super lightweight, the GOOSYNNs may be for you. 4 stars out of 5 – one star taken off because the price is eye-watering.
